Wednesday Afternoon

Today for lunch Carter bought me lunch because I had a game. I was surprised that he did but I was thankful. Today I was treated like a superstar, like Lebron James walking through a crowd of people. But back to my day, I was going to my final class. I had art and I was psyched because Mr. Freeman was excited to watch the game and he kept asking me questions about how we would compare to the other team. Also today we went over the test that we took. I got a 95% and I was so happy and I knew my mom would be so proud of me. She had confidence in me and I wanted to make her proud. This test gave me so much confidence for the game and I thought I was going to score 30 points. When I was let out of the class, I walked slowly to my locker and acting cool for the ladies. The bad thing was that I was living this for one day and I would get beat up tomorrow and any day that we did not have a game. However, I thought that it was kind of weird being a cool kid because I was not used to it. Anyway back to the game. In warm-ups I started to see people filing in the gym to witness history. After the buzzer went off, we ran to the locker room to get ready for the game. Coach said, “Whatever happens today, I love you guys and leave everything on the court.” I got so pumped and when we ran out on the court they played my favorite song by Jay-Z. Then we went to the bench and they called the starting line-ups. “At guard, a freshman Jeff Teague!”, and the whole gym roared! I scored 15 points, not as much as I expected but still a great game. I went home and had the best dinner ever.
